I met Bex a few months ago, and she has a heart of gold. Every time we see her, she is eager to talk with us and share her life. She’s always receptive to praying and hearing about the love of Jesus. One night, I came up to Bex and hugged her. She asked how I was doing. I was honest and told her that it’d been a challenging season for me. She was refreshed to hear that because it reassured her that she was not alone.
I acknowledged that life is hard and proceeded to encourage her that that’s why we need people around us to lift us. I let her know that I’m thinking and praying for her throughout the week. She responded that she thinks about us throughout the week too. She said she was talking to the other girls in the dressing room about us “girls of God,” and then we came 20 minutes later.
We ended up exchanging numbers and are planning on getting lunch sometime soon. It is such a privilege to get to know Bex, encourage her, and be encouraged by her. I pray that she sees Jesus living in and through me through this relationship. Above all, I pray for the salvation of her soul. Will you pray with me?
